Airborne is proud to have been chosen to participate in IMBA's Trail Care Crew program.  IMBA took a strong stand on behalf of local riders who consider the Ft. Pierce Trail to be imperiled, after we made our plea to them.  TCC team Scott and Aaryn assisted us in our meeting with land managers who control the fate of the Fort Pierce Trail.  They made presentations at that meeting, at our mixer at Sprockets and at J.D.S.P for the trail building school.  We were happy to have been able to share their expertise with both Club Scrub and the Palm Beach Mountain Bike Association (O.M.B.A. and Oleta River / Club Mud also participated).
Airborne wanted all the local clubs to benefit from our good fortune, and we feel the weekend was an unqualified success.  Here's to IMBA - and to Scott and Aaryn, and Avery Stonich.  This is a great program and organization.
On Friday after the roundtable meeting we went to the Ft. Pierce Trail, hiked a bit and then rode the trail.

It looked scarier when Emma did it.
On Saturday we all went to J.D.S.P for IMBA's Trail Building School.  The core members of TCCA Airborne were there, as well as P.B.M.B.A. Officers, Club Scrub officers and members, the Park Rangers from J.D.S.P, and from Oleta River, Club Mud Officers, John Brigan, the president of the Ocala Mountain Bike Association, and Morris Pigott from DEP - Office of Greenways... It was a great day, although pretty darn hot...

Welcome to IMBA's trail building school.

This is a tool. (We thought trail building was just weed whackers, machetes, and mulch)

We 'sus' the trail (Aaryn taught us the Queen's English)
